人間が追い詰められた時、大体三つの選択肢を選ぶ。 「宗教・極端な思想」「逃避」「自殺」です。 このうち最も有意義な選択肢は何だと思いますか？ どれも一長一短な気がするのだけど（最後の自殺は除外するとしても） 自分がすがりついているのはおそらく「宗教・極端な思想」だろうと思った。

しかし、正解は違ったようだ。人の言葉に目から鱗が落ちた。

「逃避です。いったんその場から離れることです。離れれば、事の本質が見えてきます。本質さえ見えれば、対処できます」
